We are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator Intern with a passion for safe construction practices to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Field Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Project-Specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Plan.
• Support the development and execution of safe work practices, work plans, and job hazard analyses (JHAs).
• Conduct weekly HSE site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Assist with site-specific orientations for workers, ensuring familiarity with HSE policies and procedures.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in weekly toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
• Develop and communicate statistical HSE information to project personnel

Office Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of project-specific HSE reports and provide necessary information for regulatory compliance.
• Help track safety-related metrics and support the Safety Director with safety documentation.
• Support the development and communication of HSE data, statistics, and reports

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, particularly within the heavy civil and highway construction sectors.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude toward learning and professional development.
• No supervisory responsibilities for this role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions and construction materials.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
